HOMEMADE H A Z E L N U T MILK

GUYS! If you haven't tried making your own nut milk yet - DO IT. THIS WEEKEND! 1) Its fun! 2) Its easy! 3) It tastes WAY better then the store bought stuff! 4) You can get CREATIVE!

This recipe here is for my hazelnut milk which is SO GOOD! But you could easily change it up by replacing hazelnuts for whatever other nut you like! Additionally you could add cacao to make it chocolatey, spices to intensify the flavour and sweeteners if you prefer a sweeter milk!

INGREDIENTS.

1 cup raw hazelnuts, soaked overnight, water drained

3 cups filtered water

Pinch of Celtic sea salt

1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract

6 pitted dates

TO DO.

  1. Throw the rinsed hazelnuts, water, vanilla, dates and salt in your blender, and blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. I like to have my milk unstrained as it is a lot creamier, though if you prefer, strain the milk using a nut milk bag or draining trough a tea towel set over a sieve and a bowl.

  2. Store the milk in a sealed container in the fridge, and consume within 5 days - if it lasts that long!!
