The following is a list of the many benefits a serve of pomegranates can provide to you!
HEART HEALTH - Regular consumption of pomegranate juice can maintain good flow of the blood in the body and subsequently decreases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Additionally, the antioxidants help to keep bad cholesterol at bay thus keeps the arteries clear of any clots. Likewise, pomegranates have the ability to make blood thinner and can once again reduce the risk of blood clots.
CANCER PREVENTION - Pomegranates contain high levels of the antioxidant, flavonoids. These are known to be effective in counteracting various cancer radials and those at high risk of prostate and breast cancer should start drinking pomegranate juice to reduce your cancer risk!
DENTAL CARE - The antibacterial and antiviral properties of pomegranates, helps to reduce the effects of dental plaque and protects against various oral diseases.

Some of the not so happy side effects that can occur if you overdo it are:
ENZYMES - The enzymes in pomegranate can hinder the functioning of certain enzymes present in the liver. So if you are on any specific medication for liver disorders, consult your doctor before consuming pomegranate!
HIGH SUGAR - If you are suffering from diabetes, then stay away from pomegranate as it has a high content of sugar.
DIGESTIVE ISSUES - The excessive consumption of this fruit can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

RECIPE.
INGREDIENTS. for 2
400g can coconut milk
1/4 cup cacao powder
1/4 cup rice malt syrup
Pinch of sea salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pomegranates or other fruits, to serve
TO DO.
1. Heat a saucepan over medium heat and add the milk, cacao powder, syrup, and salt – whisk over the heat.
2. Bring to a gentle boil, then turn down to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring often.
3. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla.
4. Cool to room temperature, then transfer to two glasses and chill in the refrigerator.
5. Serve chilled with pomegranates !
